Moto Guzzi Stelvio price, debut at EICMA

It uses the same engine as the Mandello V100 sport-tourer.

Moto Guzzi has revealed the Stelvio adventure bike, which is based on the V100 Mandello’s engine and chassis platform. 

  1. Gets tubeless tyres thanks to cross-spoked rims
  2. Radar-assisted adaptive cruise control an optional extra
  3. Electronically adjustable adaptive aero carried over from V100 Mandello

Powering the Stelvio is the same liquid-cooled, 1,042cc, 90-degree V-twin engine which in typical Guzzi fashion is mounted trasversely. Peak output figures aren’t out just yet but they shouldn’t stray too far from the Mandello’s 115hp/105Nm figures. As is the case with most adventure bikes these days, the Stelvio uses a 19/17-inch tubeless wire-spoke wheel setup, shod with dual-purpose rubber. 

A full suite of electronic rider aids is on offer including 5 riding modes, cornering ABS and traction control and cruise control. For the first time ever on a Moto Guzzi, you now have an option to equip it with a radar, which brings in adaptive cruise control. This is in addition to the adaptive aero, which is carried over from the Mandello V100. All this is controlled via the same 5-inch TFT dash and switchgear that is found on the Mandello V100 and the 2021+ Aprilia big bikes. 

The Stelvio’s 21 litre fuel tank is 4 litres larger than the Mandello, which weighs in at 233kg (kerb), and its reasonable to assume that the Stelvio will be a considerable amount heavier.
