Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour launch

Current-gen Pajero Sport is sold in Thailand, Indonesia and in Australia.

The Mitsubishi Pajero sport SUV still remains a popular choice for buyers of other rugged models like the Fortuner in many markets overseas.  The Japanese brand has given the Pajero Sport another facelift to keep the SUV fresh and competitive in the segment.  While the Pajero sport was discontinued in India back in 2021. The current-gen SUV has been around since 2015 and has received a second update.

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport facelift: what’s new? 

Being a facelift, the updated Mitsubishi Pajero Sport retains the overall silhouette, but adds a few new touches. The SUV gets a new hexagonal front grille with revised front and rear bumpers, slightly redesigned LED headlamps, and new 18-inch black alloy wheels. The wing mirrors, door handles, and roof are also finished in black.

 

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport facelift: interior and features 

On the inside, the Pajero Sport facelift gets a dual-tone black-burgundy theme, a new diamond pattern for the seats, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a similarly sized fully-digital instrument cluster. Other features on offer include power adjustable front seats, a 12.1-inch entertainment screen for the rear passengers, electronic parking brake, powered tailgate, an air purifier among other features.

 

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport facelift: tech and safety

Safety is taken care of with Mitsubishi’s Diamond Sense suite of ADAS tech that includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation system, multi around monitor, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot warning, and lane change assist.

 

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport facelift: powertrain and off-road gear

Powering the 2024 Pajero Sport is a sole 2.4-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine producing 184hp and 430Nm torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The engine is available with four off-road modes, including Gravel, Mud/Snow, Sand, and Rock. Mitsubishi is offering both 2WD and 4WD configurations with the new Pajero Sport.
