Mercedes Benz C Class long wheelbase: What’s different on the outside?

As seen in most long-wheelbase versions, the stretched C-Class has an 89mm longer wheelbase than the standard W206. This makes it 4,882mm long, representing an overall length increase of around 131mm over the standard sedan.

As far as looks go, apart from longer rear doors, the elongated C-Class gets a stylish L badge on the C pillar, denoting the unique body style, and gets the hood ornament in some variants as well. Mercedes-Benz will also sell the C-Class long wheelbase with a sportier grille design, similar to the standard car.

The dashboard layout and front seats seem to be carried over from the standard car. The second row, however, gets a better seat design, a wider armrest with built in cupholders, and dedicated USB ports. Additionally, the model sold in China has more sound deadening material and a softer suspension for added passenger comfort.

Mercedes Benz C Class long wheelbase: will it come to India?

For China, the C-Class L joins the range of other long-wheelbase sedans from Mercedes-Benz, like the A-Class L and an E-Class L, along with a stretched GLC SUV. As far as India goes, the E-Class long-wheelbase is sold here. Interestingly, the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine sold in India is an arch-rival to the C-Class L in the Chinese market. While there is no official news, it remains to be seen whether the new C-Class L comes to India in future.
