The XUV700 has been recalled due to a potential risk of abrasion cut of wiring loom. The affected units were manufactured between June 8, 2021 and June 28, 2023. Given that the XUV700 was only launched in August 2021, it implies that almost all units of the XUV700 sold till date are affected by this recall.

As for the XUV400 EV, it has been recalled to be inspected for ineffective spring return action of the brake potentiometer. Affected units of the XUV400 EV were manufactured between February 16, 2023 and June 5, 2023.

In an official statement, Mahindra said, “In an endeavour to ensure a hassle-free experience for its customers, the company is proactively carrying out this activity. This action is also in compliance with voluntary code on vehicle recall.” The inspection and subsequent rectification will be carried out free of cost for all customers, who will be individually contacted by the company.
