Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica launched at Rs 4.04 crore: powertrain, design, performance

The new Huracan version slots in between the regular EVO and the hardcore STO.

Lamborghini India has launched the Huracan Tecnica at Rs 4.04 crore (ex-showroom, India), positioning it between the standard EVO and the track-focused STO version. The latter was launched in our country at Rs 4.99 crore (ex-showroom, India) in July last year.

  • Huracan Tecnica is powered by 640hp, 5.2-litre, NA V10 engine
  • Styling inspired by Sian hybrid hypercar
  • Rivals the Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica: design

Globally unveiled in April 2022, the Huracan Tecnica features design cues from the Sian hybrid hypercar, with the front and rear fascia getting the Sian-inspired angular bodywork finished in black. The supercar also sports a carbon-fibre bonnet, a more prominent diffuser at the rear as compared to the standard Huracan Evo and a fixed rear spoiler that offers 35 percent more downforce. The Huracan Tecnica, however, skips on the wild aerodynamics package, weight-saving regime and the clamshell bodywork that’s present on the more hardcore STO.

Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica: engine and performance

The Huracan Tecnica shares the same mechanical underpinnings as the STO – a 640hp, 5.2-litre, naturally aspirated V10 engine that sends power to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Lamborghini has also equipped the Huracan Tecnica with rear-wheel steering and carbon ceramic brakes as standard. In terms of outright performance, it can achieve a top speed of 325kph, and can accelerate from 0-100kph in a claimed 3.2sec and 200kph in 9.1sec.

Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica: rivals

The Huracan Tecnica rivals the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS, while also competing with the McLaren 720S and the Ferrari F8 Tributo in India. Lamborghini also secured a few allotments of the ultra-limited Aventador Ultimae and recently delivered the 200th unit of the Urus SUV in India.
