KTM, Bajaj and Hero MotoCorp to offer free service and warranty period extension

KTM, and Hero MotoCorp have announced that they’ll be extending the validity of their warranty and service schemes, on their respective two-wheelers. The decision was taken following the current COVID-19 pandemic related situation that prevails across India.

  • KTM extends validity of warranty and services up to July 31, 2021
  • Bajaj Auto extends validity of free service till July 31, 2021
  • Hero MotoCorp extends validity of services by 60 days from the date of expiry

KTM

KTM India has announced that the service and warranty period on all motorcycles will be extended till July 31, 2021. The offer will be applicable for those customers whose warranty and free services were valid until May 31, 2021.

The news should come as a relief to KTM owners who can’t avail these services due to lockdowns that have been imposed to reduce the impact of the deadly second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bajaj Auto

Bajaj Auto has extended the free service period of all vehicles whose scheduled service falls in the month of April and May 2021. The scheduled services have now been extended to July 31, 2021.

Bajaj says that it is aware of the disruptions caused by the lockdowns and wants to reassure customers that their vehicles will be looked after.

Hero MotoCorp

Hero MotoCorp says that the validity of the standard warranty and all free services has been extended by 60 days from the date of lapse.

Hero says that this will prevent customers from visiting or gathering at service stations. It will also help those who can’t access service centers due to COVID-19 induced lockdowns in their areas.

Recently, Yamaha and Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) also announced similar warranty and service extension measures.
