Kia Motors UK has published the pricing and specification details for its new Sportage SUV, with prices starting from £26,745.
The Korean car marker’s popular C-segment SUV goes on sale on December 15 with a UK line-up featuring ‘2’, GT-Line, 3, 4 and the flagship GT-Line S edition trim levels.
Standard equipment includes 17-inch alloys, front and rear parking sensors with reversing camera, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, eight-inch infotainment touchscreen, automatic headlight control and forward collision avoidance with city, pedestrian, cyclist and junction covering.
The new Sportage will be available with petrol, diesel, mild hybrid, hybrid powertrains from launch, with plug-in hybrid variants joining the line-up towards the end of Q1 2022.
Kia said that boot space, head- and leg-room are all “substantially increased” compared to the current generation car, with best-in-class legroom for rear seat passengers.
The drivetrain line-up includes a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) for the first time, with the PHEV offering 265PS.
A selection of 1.6-litre internal combustion engines complete the range, with both petrol and diesel power on offer.
Available with and without Kia’s 48-volt mild hybrid technology, the Sportage will be available with a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission.
A six-speed automatic transmission is offered on all HEV and PHEV variants.
