Jeep India has introduced two special editions for the three-row Meridian SUV. The Jeep Meridian X is priced from Rs 33.41 lakh while the Jeep Meridian Upland starts at Rs 38.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). These prices may increase or reduce depending on accessory packs selected by the buyer, according to Jeep India.

Jeep Meridian X, Meridan Upland: What’s new?
The Jeep Meridian X and Meridian Upland get unique exterior looks with more body coloured bits, alloy wheels with grey inserts and a contrast grey roof. Two paint shade options are on offer, Silvery Moon or Galaxy Blue.
On the inside, the Jeep Meridian X and the Meridian Upland get new ambient lighting shades and puddle lamps, a rear entertainment package with a Wi-Fi enabled 11.6 inch screen. This accessory is available at 50 percent discount on the Meridian X and the Meridian Upland. Standard package also includes a roof carrier, side steps, sunshades, a tyre inflator and unique hood decals.
Jeep Meridian X, Meridan Upland: powertrain
Both SUVs come with the same 2.0-liter MultiJet diesel engine good for 168hp mated to either a six-speed manual or a nine-speed automatic. There are no other mechanical changes as such, for the Jeep Meridian X or the Meridian Upland.
Jeep Meridian: Rivals in India
Just like the Compass, Jeep builds the right hand drive Meridian in India for the domestic and export markets. The SUV in India faces stiff competition from the more popular Toyota Fortuner and the MG Gloster to some extent. With the Meridian X and the Meridian Upland special editions, Jeep seem to be aiming to attract more buyers for the Meridian in the Indian market.
