Hyundai Creta facelift: new exterior details

Hyundai is continuing to drip-feed details on the updated Creta, releasing sketches that confirm what we’ve seen of the model in leaked images already. The Creta facelift gets an all-new face that conforms to Hyundai’s newer models, and lends a more upright and muscular air to the SUV. Naturally, there’s plenty of all-LED lighting, including a full-width LED light bar at the front with inverted L-shaped elements at the edges, and a LED light bar that connects the split tail-lamp setup at the rear. The sketches corroborate the leaked images of the Creta facelift with new alloy wheels, though they seem to be 17-inchers, and not 18-inch units.

Hyundai has given significant updates to the Creta’s interior as well. There are twin 10.25-inch connected screens, changes to the dash and AC vent design, and a bevy of new features on offer. Creature comforts on higher trims of the Creta facelift include dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, an eight-way powered driver’s seat, Level 2 ADAS suite that is said to have 19 functions, 360-degree cameras, a blind spot monitoring system, among others.

Hyundai Creta facelift: engines

Although the Creta facelift will carry over the 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines – with their respective automatic and manual gearbox options – the SUV will get the new 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic will be standard with this unit. As revealed earlier, around the time bookings had opened, the refreshed Creta will be available in seven trims. Deliveries are expected to begin later this month.
