Hyundai Creta price; Creta facelift bookings, delivery details, sales

Creta facelift will be available with three engine options and in seven variants.

The Hyundai Creta has continued its strong sales performance in the calendar year 2023, with about 1,55,000 units of the midsize SUV sold. The Creta, which has consistently outsold rivals like the Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun, has retained the title of ‘India’s best-selling midsize SUV’ and posted a sales growth of about 12 percent compared to last year’s sales.

However, demand is such that the Korean carmaker is still to deliver about 23,000 units of the SUV to customers. Still, when pre-bookings opened for the Creta facelift, the Korean company announced that it will allow those who have booked the outgoing Creta to opt for the facelift instead.

  1. 23,000 Cretas still to be delivered to customers
  2. Hyundai has a total booking order backlog of 90,000
  3. Creta facelift deliveries to be concurrent wth pre-facelift model

In an interaction on January 1, 2024, with Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India, he revealed that the company has a rather large order backlog at the end of 2023. Hyundai has yet to deliver 90,000 units of its portfolio to customers; the Creta accounts for over 25 percent of this backlog.

Sources tell us that as the Creta facelift is scheduled to make its debut on January 16, due to the large backlog of orders, deliveries will be concurrent with the pre-facelift model. This means that those who book the refreshed Creta not will have to wait long for delivery, just until the the end of January.

Along with exterior design changes to bring the Creta in line with newer Hyundai models, the facelift will also sport the Alcazar’s full digital dials and other feature updates. The refreshed Creta will also get the new 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine seen on the Verna, along with the previously available 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. The full engine andf variant break up can be found here. Expect Creta facelift prices to increase over the outgoing model’s Rs 10.87 lakh-19.2 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) price range.
