The digital dash on the upcoming Honda scooter is identical to the one found on the Dio H-Smart and Grazia 125.
Just a few days ago, Honda released a teaser video confirming it would launch a new scooter, likely bearing the Dio nameplate judging by its styling. Now, the company has released one more teaser which gives us a better look at the digital display on this upcoming scooter.
The rectangular dash has a digital tachometer with the redline set somewhere in between 8,000 and 10,000 rpm. The speedo readout is large and is positioned dead centre on the dash. A few tell-tale lights are also visible in the form of a battery light, check engine light, economical riding indicator and a key fob symbol. There’s also a side stand warning light indicating that this upcoming Honda scooter could also have the side stande cut-off feature.
The presence of the key fob tell-tale light also confirms that this new Honda scooter will have the H-Smart tech thats slowly trickling down through the Japanese bikemaker’s lineup.
Judging by the body panels and the distinctive sharp design of the LED headlight visible in the previous teaser, the scooter bears more than a passing resemblance to the Dio. Going by how Honda has positioned the Dio as a youthful alternative to the fairly staid Activa lineup, this upcoming scooter could utilise Honda’s 124cc mill to tap into the sporty 125cc scooter market.
Even Hero will soon be entering this sporty 125cc scooter market and to learn more about how the company plans to do that, click here.
