With the launch of these special editions, Honda aims to attract more customers during the festive season.
Honda has launched two new special editions of their sedan lineup, the Honda City ‘Elegant Edition’ and the Honda Amaze ‘Elite Edition’.These editions will be sold in limited volumes, although it’s not yet confirmed how many units they will be limited to. Both automatic and manual variants will be offered with the special editions and it will also be offered in all colour options.

Honda City Elegant Edition features
The elegant Edition of the Honda City is based on the ‘V’ variant which means that it comes equipped with features such as a sunroof, 15-inch alloy wheels, an 8-inch infotainment unit, and a lane-watch camera.
A new exterior detail on the elegant edition is a rear spoiler on the boot with an LED taillight. Other exterior additions include ‘Elegant Edition’ badging and a side step panel with the word ‘CITY’ illuminated. On the inside, the Sedan gets an illuminated footwell and beige seat covers with ‘Elegant Edition’ marked on them.
Honda Amaze Elite Edition features
The Honda Amaze Elite edition is based on the VX variant. Like the special edition of the City, the Amaze Elite Edition gets exterior badging, a spoiler on the trunk, and an illuminated sidestep. An additional feature it gets is an anti-fog film on the wing mirrors.
On the inside, the Honda Amaze Elite edition receives seat covers with special badging and a sliding armrest. This edition of the Amaze comes equipped with a tyre pressure monitoring system and also gets a tyre inflator.
Honda City and Amaze powertrains
The Honda City is offered with a 121hp, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. The Amaze is offered with a 90hp, 110Nm, 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.
Honda City and Amaze Price
The Honda City Elegant edition is priced at Rs. 12.57 lakh for the manual transmission and Rs 13.82 lakh for the CVT. The City rivals the Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the Hyundai Verna.
The Honda Amaze Elite edition is priced at Rs 9.04 lakh for the manual version and Rs 9.86 for the CVT-equipped version. It rivals the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.
