Himalayan price, new display with navigation, colour options

Cross-spoked tubeless rims seen only on white-coloured bike; will be an optional extra.

The steady stream of updates and new reveals about the hotly anticipated new Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 continues. This time around, popular YouTuber Noraly Schoenmaker, better known by her channel’s name Itchy Boots and who also rode the current Himalayan 411 around the world, gives us more information about the new bike.

  1. Fully digital dash can show navigation info
  2. New colours seen for the first time
  3. All-new liquid-cooled engine makes 40hp

In the video, we can clearly see that the fully digital dash of the new Himalayan 452 is capable of displaying navigation information on the upper portion of the unit. This also means that it will be able to connect to your smartphone and it’s quite likely you’ll even be able to receive notification alerts as well as control music playback. It remains to be seen whether this feature is offered as standard or will only be reserved for the higher-spec variants.

Another social media post also gives us a sneak peek at the other colour options that will be available on this new Himalayan 452. The black/yellow colour option looks quite similar to the 50 years special edition colour scheme seen on the venerable BMW R 1250 GS. There is also a more subtle option with a base grey coat with red highlights. And, of course, the ‘Kamet White’ colour is also seen on one of these bikes.

The interesting thing here is that only the bike finished in the new ‘Kamet White’ colour features the cross-spoke tubeless rims while the other two bikes seem to feature conventional tubed wire-spoke rims. This almost certainly points to the fact that the tubeless side-laced rims will be an optional extra as we had reported earlier.

The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 will be launched in India on November 7, and we will be riding it in early November so watch out for our reviews.
