Hendy Group is all set to showcase its newly-expanded supercar retail portfolio at its high octane annual Hendy Performance Open Day event.
Taking place at Thruxton Race Circuit on Sunday June 25, the event will host hundreds of performance cars and special guest appearances from British Touring Car Championships (BTCC) racer Aron Taylor-Smith, GB3 Championship racer James Hedley and former Top Gear and Fifth Gear presenter Tiff Needell.
Trade stands, live music and dedicated kids’ zones, which are new for 2023, are also part of the event designed to build closer ties between the South Coast AM100 car retail group a car-loving potential customer base.
“Thruxton is the perfect venue to showcase some amazing cars but also to provide some great entertainment for the family,” said Hendy Group chief executive Paul Hendy.
“This year we have introduced more family attractions to sit alongside the cars, on-track entertainment and special guests.”
In January Hendy Group welcomed hundreds of car enthusiast to its first Performance Coffee Run of 2023.
This year’s Hendy Performance Open Day will give Hendy’s car retail operation greater opportunity than ever to showcase a range of products aligned to its audience of petrolheads.
In December the group opened its first Maserati franchise – adding the brand to its Hendy Sports Cars Centre on the A350 West Quay Road, Poole – following expansion with Lotus Cars and Moke.
News of the addition of the Stellantis-owned Italian supercar brand, profiled in this month’s AM magazine, came in the same month that Hendy revealed a 58.1% uplift in pre-tax profits and 27.2% turnover growth in its annual financial results for 2021.
Its profit before tax reached £17.56m (2020: £11.1m) alongside a turnover of £931.5m (2020: £732.8m) in the period to December 31, 2021.
