Hankook publishes 12th ESG report

Hankook has published its 12th annual ESG Report and launched a new ESG committee.

The report includes the supplier’s sustainable management activities in relation to responsible governance, integrated environmental management and climate change response.

It also features community involvement and development, transparency and business ethics, employee value creation, employee safety and health management.

Further focus is on the goals until 2030 and plans of the recently launched ESG committee within the board of directors. The committee will be responsible for consulting, deliberating and recommending regarding environmental, social and governance businesses.

Hankook further accelerated its ESG management among other things by conducting sustainable natural rubber policies and E-Circle declarations in 2018.

Through eight sub-committees in each field of expertise, the company has been sharing its vision of sustainability with executives and employees and improving its ESG management.

Hankook is also setting goals such as achieving 100% of sustainable raw material use by 2050 and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% compared to 2018.

The company is also participating in various initiatives for corporate sustainability practices such as UNGC (United Nations Global Compact) and is promoting eco-friendly plans such as sustainable natural rubber policies.
