Ford Motor’s IT hiring activity declines by 9.2% in June 2022

US-based company Ford Motor’s IT hiring declined 9.2% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 3.2% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 29.56% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 0.15% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Ford Motor IT hiring in June 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Ford Motor, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 72.66% in June 2022, and a 26.81% drop over May 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 12.95% in June 2022, and registered growth of 63.64%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 6.47% in June 2022, a 35.71% drop from May 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Ford Motor

North America emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in June 2022 with an 87.05% share, which marked an 18.79% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 7.91%, registering a 42.11% month-on-month decline. Middle East & Africa was the third leading region with a 3.6% share and a flat growth over May 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 0.72% and a month-on-month flat growth. Asia-Pacific stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.72%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with an 87.05% share in June 2022, a 17.69% decline over May 2022. Germany featured next with a 5.04% share, down 63.16% over the previous month.

Junior Level jobs lead Ford Motor IT hiring activity in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.87%, down by 23.21% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.74% share, a decline of 25% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 14.39% share, up 17.65% over May 2022.
