The C3 Shine trim sees the addition of a rear parking camera, rear wiper and washer

Citroen has launched a new top-spec variant for the C3 hatchback – the Shine – at Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new variant is currently offered with the 1.2-litre petrol engine and gets many features that were missing from the existing Live and Feel trims. The C3 Shine trim is also available with a Vibe pack that costs Rs 12,000 more.

  1. Citroen C3 Shine now gets 15-inch alloy wheels as standard
  2. It currently only comes with the 1.2-litre petrol engine

Citroen C3 Shine features

Citroen has added electrically adjustable wing mirrors, a rear parking camera, day/night rear view mirror and front fog lamps. One of the things that were missed the most on the C3 were the rear wiper and washer as well as the defogger, which are now available on the C3 Shine.

On the Live and Feel trims, alloy wheels were fit as a dealer-level accessory. However, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels will be offered as standard on the Shine trims. The C3 now also gets the My Citroen Connect app which has around 35 connectivity features.

Citroen C3 Shine powertrains

As mentioned earlier, the C3 Shine is offered with the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine that produces 82hp and 115Nm of torque. It is only mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox at the moment. However, sources tell us that the C3 Shine with the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine will be launching in the next few months.

Citroen C3 rivals

The Citroen C3 competes with the manual gearbox-equipped versions of the Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite. With the addition of these new features, the C3 will become a more serious competitor in the segment.

Do you think the addition of these features will help improve sales of the Citroen C3? Let us know in the comments.
