RUV 350 available in three variants, prices go up to Rs 1.35 lakh.
BGauss has launched the RUV 350 – an electric scooter with 16-inch wheels – with prices ranging between Rs 1.10 lakh – Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

The RUV can be had in three variants -i EX, EX and Max. The Max variant has a claimed 120km real world range in Eco mode with its 3kWh LFP battery, while the other two have a 90km range with a 2.3kWh battery. All three variants use the same ‘InWheel Hyperdrive’ motor (similiar to the Chetak’s swingarm-mounted unit) and have an identical 75kph top speed.
Except for the base RUV 350i EX which gets a segmented LCD display without Bluetooth, the EX and Max variants get a 5 inch colour TFT display with notification alerts and navigation prompts. The lowest variant also misses out on cruise control, hill hold, fall safe and over the air (OTA) updates.
The nifty thing about the RUV 350 is that it runs on large 16-inch wheels, similar to the step-through scooters you’ll see whizzing about in South East Asian countries. With prices ranging between Rs 1.10 lakh – Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom), the RUV 350 is priced in the ballpark of proven electric scooters from reputed mainstream brands. These include the Ather Rizta, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak line-ups. It remains to be seen how many people opt for this quirky, lesser known EV over its established competitors.
