Benelli TRK 552X engine, features, India launch details

Powering the Benelli TRK 552X is a liquid-cooled, 550cc, parallel-twin engine making 61hp and 55Nm of torque. That’s a 50cc bump up in capacity compared to the TRK 502X. This larger twin-cylinder engine is nestled inside a steel tube frame suspended by a USD fork and monoshock, both supplied by Marzocchi.

In terms of design too, the 552X is more of an evolution rather than a revolution and continues forward the recognizable TRK design language. The 552X has LED lighting all around and even gets a new 5-inch TFT dash as well as backlit switchgear.

While the electronic rider aids are restricted to just dual-channel ABS, the TRK 552X gets tubeless spoke wheels, a fairly unique thing in this category. The axial Brembo calipers on the 502X are replaced by radially mounted J.Juan calipers on the 552X.

Currently, the Benelli TRK 552X is only on sale in Benelli’s home country of China although we expect it to make its way to India in the coming months. When it does, expect it to carry a premium over the TRK 502X’s Rs 6.50 lakh price tag (ex-showroom, India).
