Connected, assisted and autonomous vehicles (AVs) promise huge progress in vehicle efficiency, safety and the user experience. However, given these products are reliant on access to a broader web of mass-generated data, they also mean the automotive industry must ramp up its cyber security measures. For many, it is a burden, simply unavoidable. But could it also be an opportunity for an automaker or supplier to set its products apart?
