Service and parts support will continue
-
Dealer network to be updated in 2021
-
New motorcycles will continue to be launched over time
In a letter sent out to Harley-Davidson India customers, the company assures them that they are working with Hero MotoCorp for a seamless experience in 2021. “Genuine Harley-Davidson motorcycles, accessories, gear, H.O.G activities and important services such as warranty and motorcycle service are currently active and will continue from January 2021 onwards”. The letter goes on to state that parts and accessories are available to order from dealers.
Existing dealerships will continue in operation till 31 December, 2020, while the company says it will reveal details of the updated dealer network and service points before the end of December 2020. It remains to be seen how many of the existing dealers will extend their contracts, and if any new dealers will be added in at this juncture.
In addition, the letter states that Harley-Davidson will continue to bring new motorcycles to India and that details will be shared closer to the launch schedules. That means India is likely to get exciting upcoming Harley-Davidson bikes like the new Pan America ADV.
The entire ordeal Harley-Davidson India, its business partners and its customers have gone through in the past few months has been unfortunate, and more timely communication would have certainly helped the process. Nevertheless, it’s good to see the company assure its customers and fans that business will continue in India.
