Entry-level Hector Style prices remain the same; Hector Plus diesel bears the biggest brunt.
MG Motor has silently increased the prices of both the Hector and Hector Plus by up to Rs 22,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively. The price hike varies across variants and powertrains.

The prices of the entry-level Style variant of the MG Hector with both the petrol and diesel options remain unchanged. The hike for petrol manual variants ranges from Rs 16,000 to Rs 20,000, while the petrol automatic variants are now pricier by Rs 17,000-22,000. The diesel variants have received a price hike ranging from Rs 18,000 to Rs 22,000.
The MG Hector had received two price revisions this year, which saw its starting price being slashed by about Rs 1 lakh combined.

The three-row Hector Plus has received a price hike of Rs 20,000-23,000 on the petrol MT version, while the petrol auto variants cost Rs 24,000-25,000 higher than before. Prices for the Hector Plus diesel have gone up by Rs 20,000-30,000 this month, depending on the variant.
No mechanical changes have been made to the Hector or Hector Plus whatsoever. The two continue to be offered with the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine making 143hp, and a FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel unit producing 170hp. Transmission options with the petrol engine include 6-speed MT and a CVT, while the diesel gets a 6-speed manual as standard.
MG Hector Snowstorm, Desertstorm editions on the cards?
The Hector could soon receive Snowstorm and Desertstorm special edition versions, similar to the Gloster. The mid-size SUV is currently offered with the Blackstorm edition, but it will be interesting to see if the Storm series on the Hector will be expanded like its sibling. Both the Desertstorm and Snowstorm editions will bring in visual enhancements such as contrasting accents, new paint schemes and more.
