New Genesis GV70: What’s new?

The exterior changes bring the GV70 in line with Genesis’ latest styling ethos called ‘Athletic Elegance’. The SUV now gets a new dual-weave mesh pattern for the radiator grille and the two-line turn signals. The GV70 facelift also makes use of MLA technology in its headlamps that have been carried over from the pre-facelift version.

The front bumper gets a new skid plate along with expanded air ducts. Over to the sides, the SUV stands on new 19-inch alloy wheels, though the rest of the side profile is unchanged. At the rear, the turn signals have been redesigned to align with the front, and have been relocated from the bumper to the tail-lamp units in a bid to improve visibility for other vehicles.

On the inside, the new GV70 is equipped with a massive 27-inch OLED display that integrates the infotainment system as well as the instrument cluster. The SUV now gets touch-based HVAC switchgear, while the steering wheel boasts the new Genesis emblem and a new two-tone design.

Genesis hasn’t revealed the specifications of the new GV70 yet, however, we expect it to retain its powertrains. The pre-facelift GV70 was available with 2.2-litre diesel, 2.5-litre turbo-petrol, as well as 3.5-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine options. Genesis says that the updated GV70 will be launched in Korea next month, followed by other markets. Expect more details to be available closer to its launch.
