The clip reveals details about the engine, gearbox, instrumentation and features.
We are just about one week away from the official launch of the new Karizma XMR, and Hero continues to provide a steady drip feed of information about the upcoming bike. This latest teaser reveals details about the engine, gearbox, instrumentation and features.
- Liquid-cooled motor will get DOHC architecture
- Mated to a 6-speed gearbox
- Fully digital LCD instrumentation, dual-channel ABS
The first noteworthy elements in the teaser video are stickers that give away the engine’s architecture and construction. It’s already been known that this will be a liquid-cooled engine – Hero’s first – and the 210 sticker confirms the 210cc displacement figure. Now we also know that this motor will sport DOHC architecture, and therefore a 4-valve cylinder-head. This suggests a reasonable focus on top-end performance, which is also referenced by the instrumentation.
The LCD display shows a digital tachometer which places the redline at 10,000rpm, making this a reasonably high-revving motor, for a single-cylinder. It also shows a digital gear position indicator which tells us that the Karizma XMR will feature a 6-speed gearbox. Other details on the screen are a digital speedometer, a service indicator, a clock, and temperature and fuel gauges. Finally, there is also a dual-channel ABS sticker seen in the video, confirming that the system will be available, at least on the top variant of the new Karizma. This will also mark another Hero first.
