This 650cc scrambler will also be joined by an adventure bike built around the same twin-cylinder engine.

With the sheer number of new models that Royal Enfield has in its product pipeline, it seems like we see a spy shot of a test mule almost everyday. This time around, it’s the upcoming 650cc scrambler that has been spotted, with some new details to be observed.

Many of the fundamentals have remained the same, including the main frame that seems to be heavily derived from the Interceptor’s. This continues to be suspended on a long-travel upside-down fork and twin shock absorbers, as we’ve seen on previous test mules. Linear rate springs feature on the rear shocks. What also continues to stay the same is the slightly sloped up quilted seat

What’s new this time around is that this bike seems to be sporting clear-lens LED indicators that could be offered as an optional accessory. All previous sightings have shown coloured lens indicators, likely of the halogen type.

As far as the engine is concerned, it will be the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine that you can find in the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. The peak output should be in the same ballpark as the other models at 47hp/52Nm. However, a slight change in tune and possible sprocket size change could be on the cards given the scrambler application of this model.
