The Brezza is the first compact SUV with a CNG powertrain; available in three trims.
Maruti Suzuki has launched the Brezza CNG SUV in India at Rs 9.14 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the entry-level LXi trim, going up to Rs 11.90 lakh for the top spec ZXi trim. Moreover, the ZXi trim is also being offered with a dual tone colour option for an additional Rs 16,000. This is the first time the new Brezza gets two fuel options since the diesel-powered Vitara Brezza was discontinued in 2020.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG: powertrain
The Brezza CNG is powered by the same 1.5-litre K15C DualJet engine that is also found under the hood of the CNG versions of the Ertiga and XL6 MPVs. The engine is only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It produces 101hp and 136Nm in petrol-only mode, however the output dips to 88hp and 121.5Nm in CNG mode. Maruti claims that the Brezza CNG can offer a fuel economy of 25.51km/kg.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG: design, variants and features
Cosmetically, there is no change on the outside and inside the cabin. However, the boot space has been compromised compared to the petrol counterpart to accommodate the CNG tank.
On the inside, the Brezza CNG sports an all-black interior. Like other Maruti Suzuki CNG models, the Brezza CNG is offered in mid-spec VXi and ZXi variants and gets features like a 7.0-inch touchscreen with SmartPlay Pro+ system, wireless Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay, start/ stop button, six airbags, sunroof, cruise control and a rear-view camera
Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG: rivals
The Brezza is the only compact SUV in India to offer a CNG powertrain. However, it rivals other compact SUVs like Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Mahindra XUV300 and Tata Nexon.
