BMW X5 – Up to Rs 8 lakh off

The X5 SUV has been a perennial favourite for keen drivers. In its fourth generation now, the X5 is still amongst the more driver-focused SUVs in the segment. BMW is offering discounts of Rs 8 lakh on variants at select locations. The X5 takes on the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLE

Jeep Meridian – Up to Rs 3 lakh off 

Jeep’s three-row SUV gets attractive benefits of Rs 3 lakh on select variants from previous year. The Meridian is powered only by a diesel engine and comes with both manual and auto gearbox options. With its pricing, it takes on three-row ladder frame SUVs like the MG Gloster and Toyota Fortuner

Citroen C5 Aircross (pre-facelift) – Up to Rs 2 lakh off 

Citroen’s debut product for India is an impressive premium SUV with superior ride comfort and smooth powertrain. The C5 Aircross comes only with a diesel-auto powertrain and can be had with benefits of Rs 2 lakh at some outlets. The C5 Aircross rivals the Volkswagen Tiguan, new Hyundai Tucson and some variants of the Jeep Compass

Jeep Compass diesel – Up to Rs 1.5 lakh off

Jeep’s tough 5-seater comes loaded with features, 4WD tech and a punchy diesel engine. With the diesel, buyers can avail benefits of Rs 1.5 lakh. The Compass Diesel comes with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Compass takes on the Hyundai Tucson and Citroen C5 Aircross.

Volkswagen Taigun – Up to Rs 1.5 lakh off 

Some of the reasons to buy the Volkswagen Taigun include good dynamics, safety, and strong performance, especially from the 1.5-litre engine. The 2022 stock can be had with discounts of Rs 1.5 lakh. The Taigun competes with a host of midsize SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the Skoda Kushaq

Skoda Kushaq – Up to Rs 1.25 lakh off

A cousin to the Volkswagen Taigun, the Skoda Kushaq can be had with discounts of Rs 1.25 lakh. Like the Taigun, the Kushaq scores high in areas like performance, safety, and driving dynamics. Buyers can avail benefits of Rs 1.25 lakh on the SUV. The Kushaq competes with popular midsize SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Volkswagen Taigun. 

Tata Harrier – Up to Rs 1.2 lakh off 

Tata’s stylish SUV is a compelling buy in the segment, thanks to its spacious interior, smooth auto gearbox and tough build quality. The diesel-only SUV is offered with benefits of up to Rs 1.2 lakh. The Harrier competes with the likes of the recently launched MG Hector

Tata Safari – Up to Rs 1.2 lakh off 

Like the Harrier, Tata’s flagship Safari is also available with discounts of up to Rs 1.2 lakh. It shares powertrains with the Harrier and has much of its traits with the added practicality of a usable third-row seating. The Safari takes on the popular Mahindra XUV700 and the facelifted MG Hector Plus. 

Mahindra Bolero – Up to Rs 72,000 off 

Mahindra’s venerable Bolero appeals to those looking for a rugged and reliable workhorse. It is powered by a 75hp, 1.5-litre diesel and MY2022 units of the SUV can be had with benefits of up to Rs 72,000. 

Mahindra Bolero Neo – Up to Rs 61,000 off 

The Bolero Neo is essentially a rebranded TUV300 with a tough ladder-frame construction and is powered by a sole 100hp diesel engine. A more premium alternative to the Bolero, the Neo can be had with benefits of up to Rs 61,000.

Mahindra XUV300 – Up to Rs 61,000 off

Mahindra is offering discounts of up to Rs 61,000 on its XUV300 compact SUV. The XUV300 is a well built and a good-looking SUV backed by powerful engines and a long list of features. It also gets manual and auto gearbox options. The XUV300 competes with the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet and the Maruti Brezza.

Renault Triber – Up to Rs 50,000 off 

The strengths of the Triber lie in its spacious interiors and affordable pricing. Its 1.0-litre petrol engine, however, feels inadequate. It has no direct rivals and can be had with up to Rs 50,000 off. 

Renault Kiger – Up to Rs 45,000 off 

The Kiger has been a strong seller for Renault in India and received a minor update in 2022. The compact SUV comes with two petrol engines and two automatic gearbox options. It can be had with benefits of up to Rs 45,000. The Kiger rivals the Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue

Nissan Magnite – Up to Rs 45,000 off 

The Magnite, like its cousin, the Renault Kiger, is available with benefits of up to Rs 45,000. The Magnite was already a value-for-money product and the discounts sweeten the deal further. Nissan’s compact SUV competes with the Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue. 

Mahindra Thar – Up to Rs 23,000 off 

Mahindra’s popular off-roader can be had with discounts of up to Rs 25,000 on the lower AX(O) variant. The Thar is available in petrol and diesel powertrains with an option of manual and automatic gearboxes. 

Discounts on MY2022 sedans 

Honda City 5th gen – Up to Rs 70,000 off 

Honda’s ever popular City offers class-leading comfort and is well equipped. Available in petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrain options, the 5th-gen City is available with discounts of up to Rs 70,000. The City takes on the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Slavia and the Volkswagen Virtus.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz – Up to Rs 55,000 off 

The Ciaz is the oldest car in the segment now but those looking for a spacious midsize sedan with good backseat comfort will find their match in it. The Ciaz is available with discounts of up to Rs 55,000. It competes with the Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus and Honda City.

Tata Tigor CNG – Up to Rs 50,000 off 

The Tigor CNG slots between the petrol-powered and EV versions of the model in terms of pricing. It is economical, easy to drive and is available in higher trims. Tata is offering discounts of Rs 50,000 on its 2022 models. The Tigor CNG competes with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG. 

Honda Amaze – Up to Rs 50,000 off 

The Honda Amaze is a good looking, spacious and practical sedan that was updated in 2021 with visual tweaks and more features. Honda is offering discounts of Rs 50,000 on its compact sedan. It rivals the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the Tata Tigor. 

Discounts on MY2022 hatchbacks 

Maruti Suzuki S Presso – Up to Rs 60,000 off 

The S-Presso now gets a more fuel-efficient, 67hp K10C engine and more safety features, including ESP. The high-riding hatchback is available with discounts of up to Rs 60,000 on its 2022 stock. The S-Presso rivals its stablemate – the new Alto K10

Maruti Suzuki Ignis – Up to Rs 50,000 off 

Maruti’s quirky hatchback is powered by a sole 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine paired either to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Maruti Suzuki is offering discounts of Rs 50,000 on the Ignis. The hatchback is a rival to the Citroen C3.

Citroen C3 – Up to Rs 40,000 off 

The C3 is the French carmaker’s first mainstream product in India and impresses with its quirky styling and a punchy turbo-petrol engine. 2022 models can be had with benefits of Rs 40,000. The C3 takes on high riding hatchbacks like the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and also compact SUVs like the Nissan Magnite. 

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R – Up to Rs 45,000 off

Maruti’s tall boy hatchback offers great space and practicality, and is available with fuel-efficient petrol engine options. Maruti Suzuki is offering discounts of Rs 45,000 on the Wagon R’s unsold 2022 stock. The Wagon R competes with the Tata Tiago.  

Maruti Suzuki Swift – Up to Rs 40,000 off

The Swift was updated in 2021 with a new and more fuel-efficient petrol engine. The Swift is relatively engaging to drive and is comfortable. Maruti Suzuki is offering the Swift with discounts of up to Rs 40,000. The Swift rivals the Grand i10 Nios

Hyundai i20 – Up to Rs 30,000 off

The i20 is one of the few remaining players in the premium hatchback segment. Available as a petrol, turbo-petrol and a diesel, Hyundai is offering discounts of up to Rs 30,000 on previous year’s i20 models. The Hyundai i20 takes on the Tata Altroz and the soon to be discontinued Honda Jazz
