Tata gives Jet Edition features to other variants of Harrier, Safari SUVs

Along with the new features, Tata has also hiked the prices of the two SUVs.

Tata has announced that it will add more features to the Harrier and Safari SUVs, essentially adding features from the Jet edition models to the regular ones. Alongside this, Tata has also hiked the prices of the two SUVs. 

  • Harrier gets disc brakes on all four wheels on XZ+ variants
  • Safari gets comfort head restraints on the top variants

Tata Harrier, Safari: new features

As mentioned, many of the features that were introduced with the Jet edition variants of the two SUVs. Tata mentioned that these new features will be available from XMS variants onwards on the Harrier and Safari. 

The Harrier now gets USB Type C ports in the front row for all variants, while XZ and variants above it will get these ports in the second row as well. The XZS variants and higher also get enhanced ESP features that include panic brake alert, after impact braking and driver doze off alert. The XZ+ variants get the electronic parking brake, disc brakes on all four wheels, wireless charger and enhanced features for iRA that comprise of smartwatch app connectivity, feature usage analytics, monthly health report, auto and manual DTC check and drive analytics. 

On the other hand, the Safari also gets all the same added features like the Harrier, apart from all-wheel disc brakes since it always came with it. The Gold Edition only gets enhanced features for iRA. However, the comfort head restraints from the Jet edition are only added to the XZ+ variants.

Along with the update, Tata has also slightly hiked the prices of the Harrier and Safari. Both SUVs receive a price hike of around nine percent.
