The Hero Vida V1 electric scooter has been launched with two variants on offer, V1 Plus and V1 Pro, priced at Rs 1.45 lakh and Rs 1.59 lakh, respectively. The two variants of the Vida V1 electric scooter differ in terms of range as well as performance.

The main area of differentiation between the Plus and Pro variants of the Vida V1 e-scooter are in terms of range and performance. The Vida V1 Plus has a claimed range of 143km and can go from 0-40 in 3.4s while the V1 Pro has a claimed range of 165km and 0-40 is dealt with in 3.2s. Both variants have a top speed of 80kph and fast charging capabilities at a rate of 0-80% in 65 minutes. The exact specifications for the powertrain are awaited and we shall update this story as soon as we receive them.

The biggest leg-up that the Vida V1 scooter has over its rivals is that it boasts of swappable batteries, which means a full recharge should be a matter of minutes not hours, as is usually the case. The Vida V1 e-scooters are loaded to the gills with electronic features such as a touchscreen compatible 7-inch TFT dash, keyless operations, riding modes as well as a proprietary app through which you can pair your phone to the dash.

The Vida V1 Plus is priced at Rs 1.45 lakh and the V1 Pro commands Rs 1.65 lakh. The pricing of the Vida V1 electric scooter is much higher than was earlier anticipated but it falls in the same ballpark as most of its major rivals. As of now, the Vida V1 e-scooters will only be available in Bengaluru, Delhi and Jaipur, with other locations being offered soon. Bookings open on October 10 and deliveries will commence in the second week of December.
