Mercedes-Benz Group’s IT hiring activity rises by 2.0% in June 2022

Germany-based company Mercedes-Benz Group’s IT hiring rose 2.0% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 1.23% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 14.99% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 1.08% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Mercedes-Benz Group IT hiring in June 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Mercedes-Benz Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 64.52% in June 2022, and a 21.57% drop over May 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 14.52% in June 2022, and registered growth of 5.88%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 13.71% in June 2022, a 21.43% rise from May 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Mercedes-Benz Group

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in June 2022 with a 50% share, which marked a 10.14% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 29.03%, registering a 5.26% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 20.16% share and a 37.5% drop over May 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 0.81% and a month-on-month decline of 80%.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 46.77% share in June 2022, a 12.12% decline over May 2022. US featured next with a 20.16% share, down 32.43% over the previous month. China recorded a 17.74% share, an increase of 266.67% compared with May 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Mercedes-Benz Group IT hiring activity in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.55%, down by 16.67% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.77% share, a decline of 22.86% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.68% share, down 20% over May 2022.
