The Kushaq Monte Carlo gets interior and exterior upgrades and will be sold with both 1.0- and 1.5-litre engine options.
Skoda India is all set to introduce the Kushaq Monte Carlo in the Indian market soon. We’ve got our hands on the first set of pictures of the Kushaq Monte Carlo and sources tell us that a market launch could take place as early as the second half of April 2022. The Kushaq Monte Carlo, like the earlier Rapid Monte Carlo, gets unique exterior and interior bits, and we tell you what all will be different from its standard counterpart.
- Kushaq Monte Carlo will likely get red and white paint shades
- Will continue to get the same single pane sunroof
- Gets a fully digital instrument cluster among other features
Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo: what all will be new
The Kushaq Monte Carlo will follow almost all cosmetic differences that are seen on the Skoda Monte Carlo models globally. As seen in these exclusive images, the SUV gets a blacked-out treatment on the outside – all chrome bits and chrome badging is now black – with red and white exterior paint shades likely to be offered. The Kushaq will also ride on 205/55 R17 tyres with alloy wheel design which is similar to the previous-gen Octavia RS 245. Also, all Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo units will have prominent Monte Carlo badging on the front fenders.
On the inside, the major upgrade on the Kushaq Monte Carlo will be the fully digital instrument cluster that replaces the analog unit seen on other Kushaq variants. The new instrument cluster will have a similar setup as the one on the Slavia sedan, but will come with red graphics that go in line with the Skoda Kushaq’s Monte Carlo theme. Additionally, the seats will get dual tone red-black upholstery with prominent Monte Carlo badging, and there will be prominent red accents on the dashboard, all four doors and on the center console.
As far as equipment goes, both engine options on the Kushaq Monte Carlo will have similar equipment levels as the Kushaq Style, which includes full LED headlamps, automatic wipers and headlamps (with follow me home feature), ventilated front seats, a six-speaker sound system with subwoofer, auto dimming rear view mirror, and a tyre pressure monitoring system among others.
Contrary to rumours, the Kushaq Monte Carlo will come with a single pane sunroof, similar to other Kushaq variants, and will not come with a panoramic sunroof.
Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo: engine and gearbox details
The Kushaq Monte Carlo will come with the same 115hp, 1.0-litre or a 150hp, 1.5-litre engine options and get a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. Additionally, they also get the option of automatic gearboxes – a 6-speed torque converter for the 1.0 TSI and a 7-speed DSG for the 1.5 TSI.
Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo: expected pricing
Sources tell us that the Kushaq Monte Carlo will cost Rs 80,000 to Rs 1,00,000 more than the top-spec Kushaq Style variant.
