Autobrains, previously called Cartica AI, a developer of self learning artificial intelligence for assisted and autonomous driving, said it had raised US$101m in series C financing managed by Temasek, a global investment company based in Singapore.
Additional participants in the round included new investors Knorr-Bremse and VinFast plus existing investor BMW and Continental.
“Today’s announcement reflects anticipation from global leaders, including Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs, as well as sophisticated investment funds, that Autobrains is disrupting the advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicle marketplace with its alternative approach to AI for automotive,” the company claimed.
“The funding will grow the company’s commercial reach into new global markets.”
