Valeo revamps aftermarket websites – Just Auto

Valeo has revamped its websites dedicated to the vehicle maintenance and repair business.

In total, 19 new websites have gone live; one global website and 18 country-specific websites.

After entering a vehicle’s unique code (VIN or licence plate number, depending on the country) or a part’s reference number, the user is a click away from its technical content.

This means they can identify parts and access explanations, enabling them to carry out their maintenance or repair operations.

Valeo’s catalogue includes more than 50,000 parts for cars (45,000) and trucks (more than 5,000). Of these, 10,000 are brand new and were added in 2020.

The number of parts and the related technological content is always increasing, making it difficult for vehicle repair professionals to keep track.

Valeo maintains its new websites have been designed to make their task easier and safer. Intended as digital, knowledge-sharing tools rather than commercial websites; they are accessible free of charge without a subscription.

The Valeo Tech Assist support platform offers information and online training on all devices (computers, tablets, smartphones):

  • Ensures the item identified when searching corresponds exactly to the vehicle model in the workshop. In addition, more than 5,000 technical content such as bulletins, instructions and videos are available in a single location for viewing
  • Given the increasingly complex nature of the industry, training for automotive professionals is crucial. However, in 73% of independent workshops, employees have not undergone a single training course in the last 12 months (GiPA repairer survey, 2019). The 450 training modules available on Valeo Tech Assist aim to address this learning shortfall
  • On a global scale, almost 65,000 professionals have already been trained by Valeo through the digital sessions
