The Skoda Octavia Pro has been readied keeping in mind the huge demand of chauffer-driven vehicles in China. The Octavia Pro is based on the fourth-gen of the car that will also go on sale in India soon.

Skoda Octavia Pro: What’s different?
Aimed at the huge chauffeur-driven vehicle market in China, the Octavia Pro focuses on rear seat comfort and has a 2,730mm wheelbase, a 44mm stretch over the standard car, taking its overall length to 4,753mm. This makes the Octavia Pro only 116mm shorter than the Superb sedan that is 4,869mm in length.
Apart from more rear legroom, the Octavia Pro gets a similar list of features as the standard car on the inside replete with a long list of creature comforts. The Octavia Pro comes with a 12-inch touchscreen system and can also be bought with an optional 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a head-up display.
On the outside, the Octavia Pro’s styling is quite similar to the standard Octavia save for the black accents, a contrast black roof, black wing mirrors and a few tweaks on the bumper that mimic the sportier Octavia RS.
Skoda Octavia Pro: Powertrain and safety features
The Octavia comes with a single 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine option that’s good for 150hp and comes mated to a seven speed DSG automatic gearbox. It gets a long list of safety features including multiple airbags, adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic alert, lane keeping assist and lane change assist to name a few.
Skoda Octavia: India launch details
The India-bound Skoda Octavia is expected to launch in the coming months. The model will come with the standard 2,686mm-long wheelbase option and will be feature-laden. Powertrain duties will be carried out by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine. The new Octavia is expected to precede the India launch of the upcoming Skoda Kushaq SUV, which will rival the Hyundai Creta.
