The engine is equipped with variable valve timing and is rated for 117hp and 189Nm.
Just over a month ago, Harley-Davidson revealed the 2023 CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide, which were powered by an all-new 121 CI (1,982cc) V-Twin engine, with Variable Valve Timing. Now the specs of this new liquid-cooled engine and overseas pricing for both these models have been released.
2023 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide & Road Glide: details
The new liquid-cooled, 1,982cc, V-Twin engine is rated for 117hp at 4,500rpm and a colossal 189Nm of torque at just 3,000rpm. This bump up in performance has been achieved with the help of a new high-lift camshaft, a larger airbox and a new intake tract.
The nifty thing here with the cooling system is that the coolant goes to the rear cylinder first and then the front cylinder. Harley also claims that the hot air coming off the radiator is directed down toward the ground so that rider comfort isn’t impacted. This should prove handy especially in our particularly harsh summer.
Both these CVO models also benefit from modern underpinnings such as a USD fork and monoshock (which comes with a handy remote preload adjuster) as well as radially mounted Brembo 4-piston brake calipers clamping down upon large 320mm twin disc brakes. The CVO Glides also come with four riding modes – Sport, Road, Rain and 2 Custom modes.
Additionally, the raft of electronics also includes cornering ABS and traction control, hill-hold control and a tyre pressure monitoring system. All these electronics are controlled via a massive touch-compatible 12.3-inch TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity.
These bikes can be had in a choice of two colour options – Standard Dark Platinum with Bright Smoked Satin pinstriping or Whiskey Neat/Raven Metallic two-tone with a colour-matched inner fairing.
Both the Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide are priced at $42,999 and will be available overseas from mid-July. It remains to be seen if any of these ultra-exclusive Glides make their way to India.
