2021 Jaguar I-PaceEV prices start at Rs 1.06 crore

The Jaguar I-Pace is the first all-electric offering by the carmaker in India. It has been priced from Rs 1.06 crore for the base S trim and goes up to Rs 1.12 crore for the top-spec HSE trim (ex-showroom, India).

2021 Jaguar I Pace: features and trim-levels

As we had previously reported, the Jaguar I-Pace is available in three trims – the S, SE, and top-spec HSE. As standard, the I-Pace comes with 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED headlamps and tail-lights, a full-length fixed glass roof, dual touchscreen infotainment system running ‘Pivi Pro’, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, ‘InControl’ connected-car tech and more.

The fully kitted I-Pace HSE trim is further equipped with adaptive ‘Matrix’ LED headlights, a hands-free boot release, adaptive cruise control, a heads-up display, ‘Windsor’ leather sport seats, a 16-speaker, 825W Meridian sound system, and more.

Customers can also opt for optional extras, including adaptive air suspension, four-zone climate control, an ionising air purifier with PM2.5 filtration, and a digital rear-view mirror, and more, to their I-Pace.

2021 Jaguar I Pace: electric motor and battery

The I-Pace comes with two electric motors that produce a combined 400hp and 696Nm of torque. Jaguar claims the 2.2-tonne electric SUV can do the 0-100kph sprint in 4.8sec, and go on to hit a top speed of 200kph.

Jaguar has equipped the all-electric I-Pace with a 90kWh battery.This is capable of providing a 470km WLTP-rated range on a single charge.The ARAI-certified range has not yet been announced. With an 11kW home charger, the I-Pace’s battery takes 12.9 hours to charge to full though a 50kW charger is said to deliver up to 270km of range per hour.

Additionally, Jaguar is offering a complimentary 5-year service package and 5 years of roadside assistance, along with the standard 8-year or 1,60,000km battery warranty.

2021 Jaguar I Pace: charging network

Jaguar has partnered with Tata Power to provide home and office charging options to all I-Pace customers. This tie-up will also allow I-Pace customers access to the 200+ charging stations set up by Tata Power across more than 23 citiesin India.

Another step taken by Jaguar is the installation of over 35 DC fast chargers across 22 of its dealerships,spread over 19 cities.

Additionally, a complimentary 7.4kW AC wall-mounted charger will be provided with the purchase of the EV.

2021 Jaguar I Pace: rivals

As of now, the I-Pace EV only faces competition from the Mercedes-Benz EQC electric SUV that is currently priced at Rs 1.04 crore (ex-showroom, India). The segment is slated to get more competitive later this year with the arrival of the Audi e-tron
