Touring models have been updated as well
The new Street Bob 114 is based on the outgoing model, but as the ‘114’ in its name suggests, it gets a larger engine. This engine is said to be the most powerful engine available in the Softail range. The 114 Milwaukee-Eight displaces 1,868cc, compared to the 1,753cc 107 engine. It is said to make the Street Bob 9 percent quicker from 0-100kph, as compared to the older bike. Harley has also added a new colour option.
For 2021, the company’s Touring family has received some updated equipment as well. The Road King Special and Street Glide Special now use LED headlights. The Street Glide Special along with the Road Glide Special also gets new colour schemes.
The Fat Boy 114, meanwhile, has also switched to LED lighting and also gets regular chrome instead of the satin chrome finish this time around. Harley’s CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) range gets a new Harley-Davidson Audio system designed by Rockford Fosgate, as well as new colour options and styling touches.
Two model families, Street and Sportster, have been dropped completely from the European line-up, whereas for 2021, the US market retains the Street 500 and three Sportsters – the Forty-Eight, Iron 883 and Iron 1200. The company has also discontinued the Low Rider, Deluxe and FXDR 114 models for 2021; the Breakout 114 will be available only in some international markets.
